Serie A over-performing vs. under-performing clubs (19 games into the season)


Key Soccerlytics Insights:
  • Verona is currently ranked 6th in Serie A, and only has the 19th highest average player value (APV) in the league
    • Verona's exceptional performance so far this season has effectively put the club 13 places ahead of where it "should" be considering its APV ranking (see table below)
    • Verona's performer differential of +13 is the highest in Italy's Serie A
    • Verona's positive exploits have led to plenty of transfer market speculation surrounding stars such as Jorginho and Iturbe.
